At Scale Tech(Award Winning Development Agency), we are partnering with a Scandinavian cyber security company specializing in mobile application security to find an experienced Senior Frontend Developer (Next.js) for a fully remote freelance opportunity.
Contract - Freelance (Full-time)
Working Method - Full remote
Contract Length - Long-term.
What you’ll do:
- Act as the main Frontend engineer in your area within a shared monorepo
- Own and deliver frontend features end-to-end within a dedicated stream in a shared codebase
- Build scalable, reusable UI components and maintain a clean, well-structured codebase
- Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve overall code quality
- Work closely with Product and Design to define and deliver solutions
- Ensure reliability through testing, debugging, and performance optimization
- Drive your work independently by identifying priorities and removing blockers
- Collaborate with a team of 5–7 engineers on an actively evolving product
- Work autonomously while contributing to a broader multi-team system
Must have:
- Strong experience with Next.js and TypeScript
- Solid fundamentals in HTML, SCSS, and modern React
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to have:
- Experience with design systems and building reusable component libraries
- Knowledge of WCAG (accessibility standards)
- Experience working in a monorepo setup
- Familiarity with React Server Actions
- Experience with Google Cloud (GCP)
- Ability to lead technical discussions and balance technical vs business trade-offs
