About Scholars of Finance
We founded Scholars of Finance in 2017 to inspire character and integrity in future finance leaders. We work with undergraduate students, offering leadership development, mentorship, and support from finance executives and investors. Our programs prepare members to manage capital responsibly.
By September 2025, we had reached 8,300 students, including 20 first-generation students, and engaged 3,700 members and candidates. We’ve involved 1,300 professionals and established a presence at 60 universities. We’ve also raised over $6.7 million. Our partners include Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Citi, JPMorgan, a16z, US Bank, Piper Sandler, Bank of America, BlackRock, Schwab, State Street, and PNC. We provide technical training in partnership with Training The Street and host the “Investing in Integrity” podcast.
Mission & Values
Our vision is “A future where all finance leaders steward the world’s capital to serve the greater good.” Our mission is “To inspire character and integrity in the finance leaders of tomorrow.”
We uphold four core values, each with specific principles:
- Integrity means doing the right thing, being accountable for your decisions, and building trust through candor.
- Humility involves understanding yourself deeply, guarding against greed and hubris, and remaining intellectually curious.
- Compassion is about serving a greater purpose, building respectful relationships, and being radically generous.
- Excellence requires becoming great at what you do, working diligently and planning wisely, and maintaining health and balance.
