We are seeking an Engineering Manager to be a “force multiplier” for our engineering function. This isn’t a role for a hands-off manager; it’s for a pragmatic and empathetic leader who will grow and guide the team responsible for the most critical parts of the user experience. You will be instrumental in setting technical strategy, mentoring a talented team, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our core systems.
In this role, you will leverage our modern stack—including Go, Java, Node.js, TypeScript, and React—to build the foundation for our future in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Architectural Guidance: Confidently guide architectural decisions and champion well-designed, maintainable solutions that minimize technical debt.
Execution & Delivery
End-to-End Ownership: Take ownership of the delivery for critical domains, directly impacting user acquisition, retention, and overall product quality.
Product Partnership: Partner with product and design leaders to shape the roadmap for critical user-facing features and integrations.
Team Rituals: Empower your team by running effective rituals, removing blockers, and ensuring alignment with company goals through a high degree of autonomy.
Who You Are
Seasoned Leader: You have 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of managing and growing engineering teams.
Technical Foundation: You possess a strong technical foundation in modern web and backend development. While you may no longer be the primary individual contributor, you can go deep into the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem and provide meaningful input on Go or Java services.
Empathetic Mentor: You measure success by your team’s impact and growth. You excel at building environments where engineers can do their best work.
Strategic Partner: You are an excellent communicator who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.
Pragmatic & Purposeful: You thrive on taking ownership and have a history of driving complex, multi-disciplinary projects to successful completion.
