Healthcare Project Manager

💰 $114k

Job Description

Shift Collab is one of Canada’s largest therapy practices, operating virtually to support Canadians from coast-to-coast. We believe going to therapy should feel empowering, and we are on a mission to make therapy human by providing mental health care that’s approachable, meaningful, and designed to make a real impact. Founded in 2016, we’re a family-owned business that’s gone from a small clinic to over 125 brilliant teammates nationally—and we’re only getting started.

WE’RE HIRING A CONTRACT PROJECT MANAGER

Shift Collab is in an active growth phase, taking on large-scale B2B partnerships that require real implementation muscle — technical builds, clinical operations, recruitment, and process design running simultaneously across multiple workstreams.

We’re looking for a senior contract Project Manager to own execution through this phase. This is a new role created to support our growth phase. The role exists to make sure complex, time-sensitive implementations stay on track without the COO carrying every thread.

This is a part-time contract engagement — 20 hours per week, June 1 through November 30, 2026. The right person brings direct experience managing large-scale implementations in healthcare, health benefits, or health insurance programs.

Project Planning and Structure

- Translate partnership agreements into a concrete project plan with clear milestones, dependencies, and owners

- Define scope and success metrics for each workstream

- Build and maintain the execution roadmap across technical, clinical, and operational tracks

Stakeholder Management

- Serve as the central coordination point across internal teams (Clinical, Care, Marketing, Ops) and external enterprise partners

- Run project meetings, own the agenda, and close action items

- Keep roles, responsibilities, and expectations clear across all parties — internally and externally

- Identify and move through blockers without waiting to be asked

Execution and Delivery

- Drive day-to-day progress and hold workstreams accountable

- Maintain momentum independently — this role does not require heavy oversight

- Flag risks early with a recommendation, not just a problem

Communication and Reporting

- Run a consistent project cadence (weekly updates, stakeholder check-ins)

- Provide clear, concise progress reporting to the COO

- Escalate issues early with context and a proposed path forward

Process and Systems

- Map, scope, and implement processes to serve external partners and organize internal teams

- Build repeatable playbooks for how we run enterprise implementations and reporting

WHO YOU ARE

  • 7 to 10+ years in project or program management, with significant time leading large-scale implementations.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing implementations in healthcare, health benefits, or insurance. This is required, not preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification required.
  • A technical skillset to leverage tools like Claude, Miro, Coda, and Zapier is preferred.
  • University degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments while managing internal teams and external enterprise partners simultaneously.
  • Once you’re onboarded and clear on the job to be done, you have the aptitude and skillset to act independently.
  • Organized without being rigid. You bring structure, not bureaucracy.
  • Communicates clearly across different audiences, from clinical to technical to executive.
  • Being bilingual in English and French is an asset.

ENGAGEMENT TERMS

  • $55 per hour, plus transportation costs covered for any in-person business meetings.
  • This is a remote contract engagement. You’ll work from home, but we ask that you’re based within a 2-hour drive of the GTA so you can join occasional in-person meetings when needed.
  • 20 hours per week with regular availability Monday to Friday, including time during our core collaboration hours of 10am to 3pm EST.
  • Contract runs from June 1 to November 30, 2026.

Accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process. If you require accommodations for interviews or other meetings, please let us know.
