Skin + Me is a technology-driven start-up on a mission to revolutionise personalised skincare. We’ve delivered millions of treatments across our multi-brand ecosystem (Skin + Me, Hair + Me, Renew + Me), powered by a proprietary stack that runs everything from our e-commerce engine to our in-house manufacturing.
As we embark on the next phase of our growth, we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our high-leverage team. We treat agentic tools like Claude Code and Cursor as a standard part of a modern, high-velocity workflow.
This is a hybrid role with three days a week in our Paddington HQ (Mon, Tue, Fri) and two days remote.
The mission
At Skin + Me, we value shipped impact over “hours spent typing”. Your goal is to use the best agentic tools to speed up the mundane so you can spend your time solving the hard problems: scale, experimentation and architecture.
What you’ll do
- Direct Agentic Workflows: Use agentic tools to navigate, plan, refactor, and ship features across our Python / React stack while drastically increasing your technical leverage.
- Full-Stack Ownership: Architect and deploy end-to-end features, from backend logic and database schemas to modern frontend experiences.
- Lead Engineering Evolution: Help define our “AI-native” development standards and mentor the team on high-velocity delivery.

- The AI Edge: You are a power user of agentic AI. You know how to orchestrate edits across multiple files and identify where an LLM is hallucinating.
- Pragmatic Architect: You have the seniority to know when to trust an agent and when to step in. You value clean code, type systems, and robust testing.
- High Agency: You’re a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
Technical skills
- Command of Typescript for full stack development.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred) and ORM frameworks.
- Experience with React and maintaining frontend design systems.
- Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Understanding of modern web architecture and performance optimisation.
