The Community Liaison Team are the face of Statkraft in communities where our projects are located and work alongside teams in development, construction and operations to ensure projects are clearly and consistently communicated.
There are six members of the team, working across London, Glasgow and Inverness. We work on projects across Great Britain on multiple forms of onshore renewable technology - wind, solar, hydropower, battery storage and grid stability projects.
Our community stakeholders include local residents, the media and elected representatives. It is a key part of our role to understand the demographic and priorities of these project areas as we progress our projects.
Job Description
This role will suit someone who is confident with project administration and comfortable handling a high volume of detailed administrative tasks.
As the Community Liaison Officer, your primary responsibility will be to support the efficient and effective work of the Engagement and Social Value Team across all project types and phases. You will also contribute to community consultation and engagement activities across a wide range of renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Community Liaison Managers during peak periods to help deliver projects across the portfolio.
- Distribute project updates, newsletters and manage multiple databases.
- Make minor edits to project websites, create graphics (using Canva) and assist with photo and video content.
- Support the delivery of internal and external community events, including community meetings, exhibitions and webinars.
- Prepare risk assessments and liaise with accounts and procurement teams.
- Draft community correspondence and maintain accurate community fund records.
Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent within a relevant subject, e.g. Environmental or Communications
- Office experience is essential
- Interest in media and political issues at a regional level
- Highly computer literate, organised with an ability to prioritise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention-to-detail, pro-active and someone who can show initiative
- Personable, likes working in a collaborative team environment
- Passionate about the environment and renewable energy
