The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact at Sterlington by supporting our Head of Firm Management. The Business Support Manager will provide comprehensive professional, administrative, and logistical support to enable the Head of Firm Management to perform their role as efficiently and effectively as possible. This involves proactive management of day-to-day business, including drafting of all types of written communication, meeting and event organization, complex diary management and travel arrangements, project coordination and delivery.
You are the operational right hand to the firm’s most senior leader. You don’t “support a calendar.” You run the leader’s office so they can think, decide, and lead.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and orchestrate the leader’s time, priorities, and agenda across the whole firm.
- Manage their inbox, communications, and messaging.
- Draft high-stakes communication: emails, briefings, notes, committee papers, speeches
- Sit in meetings, represent them when needed, and drive follow-ups to completion.
- Coordinate leadership rhythms: 1:1s, leadership meetings, planning cycles, reviews.
- Run projects and initiatives they don’t have time to run themselves.
- Act as the bridge between the leader and partners, senior lawyers, and other stakeholders
- Prepare them for everything: meetings, decisions, travel, events.
- Spot inefficiencies and quietly fix how things work.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with the leader and senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, to champion the Head of Firm Management’s priorities. Provide trusted guidance on approach and process, while ensuring critical matters are surfaced and presented clearly and informatively.
What We’re Looking For :
- Has supported C-level / Partners / senior execs before
- Writes impeccably and thinks clearly
- Can turn chaos, information, and competing priorities into clarity and action
- Is emotionally intelligent and can navigate senior personalities
- Is highly autonomous and proactive
- Is excellent at project coordination and follow-through
- Is calm under pressure and extremely discreet
- Can work across leadership, operations, and stakeholders without drama
- Is digitally savvy (Office, SharePoint, remote workflows, etc.)
At Sterlington, we believe that world-class talent has no boundaries. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where unique perspectives are valued and every individual has the opportunity to thrive. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
