Job Description

About Synapticure

As a patient and caregiver-founded company, Synapticure provides instant access to expert neurologists, cutting-edge treatments and trials, and wraparound care coordination and behavioral health support in all 50 states through a virtual care platform. Partnering with providers and health plans, including CMS’ new GUIDE dementia care model, Synapticure is dedicated to transforming the lives of millions of individuals and their families living with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS.

As we continue to scale nationally, strong financial leadership is critical to ensuring sustainable growth, operational discipline, and strategic clarity across our Care and Cures service lines.

The Role

Synapticure is seeking an experienced and strategic FP&A Director to lead financial planning, reporting, and operational finance across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will serve as a key finance partner to executive leadership, driving financial rigor, performance visibility, and scalable planning processes in a high-growth, mission-driven healthcare environment.

The FP&A Director will own the company’s financial model, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, while partnering closely with growth, clinical, operations, and revenue teams to optimize performance. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare services or digital health experience, deep financial modeling expertise, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategic insights.

This is a highly visible leadership role that blends hands-on execution with long-term strategic thinking.

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Head of Finance and executive team, supporting growth, profitability, and long-term financial planning.
  • Own and continuously refine Synapticure’s financial model across service lines and service types.
  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop and track key financial and operational KPIs, including unit economics, margin analysis, and contribution profitability.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Partner with growth and business development teams to build deal models and pro forma analyses for payer, provider, and strategic partnerships.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in collaboration with accounting leadership.
  • Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and executive dashboards to inform decision-making.
  • Provide technical leadership in financial modeling and scenario analysis across departments.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Operations and Financial Controller to ensure accurate revenue recognition across healthcare services and value-based contracts.

Healthcare & Revenue Performance

  • Partner with operations, clinical, and revenue cycle teams to analyze financial performance drivers.
  • Evaluate payer mix, reimbursement models, utilization trends, and cost structures.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize margin, pricing strategy, and operational efficiency.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing FP&A function over time.
  • Collaborate with product, data, legal, and operations teams on pricing strategy and new initiatives.
  • Support fundraising activities, investor reporting, board materials, and due diligence processes as needed.

Requirements – What we look for in you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 6–10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership or senior individual contributor roles.
  • Demonstrated success operating as a lead finance partner in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience in healthcare services, digital health, health tech, or healthcare SaaS.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical expertise.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models and revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior leadership and executive teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA.
  • Experience in venture-backed or private equity-backed companies.
  • Familiarity with value-based care, telehealth, or population health models.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP and FP&A systems.
  • Track record of building and mentoring finance teams.
