Job description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team in Warsaw. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with Polish accounting and tax regulations, and support month-end and reporting processes. You will also be involved in accounting support for other entities within the group, helping to maintain consistency and accuracy across different jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records in line with Polish GAAP.
Prepare and post journal entries, manage AP, reconcile accounts, and support month-end closing.
Handle business trip settlements and manage employee expenses using ExpenseIn .
Post bank statements and set up payments.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
Handle VAT and other tax-related filings, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Support the preparation of financial statements and internal/external reports.
Collaborate with auditors and assist during annual audits.
Provide ad-hoc accounting support for overseas entities within the group.
Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2β3 years of hands-on accounting experience (preferably in Poland).
Solid knowledge of Polish accounting standards and tax regulations.
Good Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (SAP B1 is a plus).
Fluency in Polish and English (written and spoken).
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to meet deadlines.
Experience with international accounting or group reporting is an advantage.
