Together, Honor and Home Instead are setting a new standard for aging in place, backed by powerful technology, compassionate care, and a commitment to helping older adults age on their terms.

Join us to create a new and better aging experience for our clients, their families, and the Care Professionals and operators  who serve them.

About the Role

As a team, we are obsessed with designing experiences that elevate the human elements of care delivery while finding balance between technical and business constraints. As Sr Staff Product Designer, you will help guide the strategic thinking and delivery of digital products and service experiences that bring the highest quality care to more aging adults. The work spans the full care journey: the clients and families who choose care, the Care Professionals who deliver it in the field, and the operators who serve.  them while striking a balance between technical and business constraints. This is the life of a designer at Honor, working to amplify the human experience with cutting edge technology.

About the team

This role sits in Design, a multidisciplinary team that includes UX/product design and research, as well as brand, marketing, video, and motion designers. We work closely with engineering, product management, data science, operations, and sales & marketing. We are tenacious about iterating toward  elegant solutions that improve the daily lives of our clients and our care professionals in the field.

As a Sr Staff Product Designer at Honor, you will:

  • Own product work end to end:  being accountable for outcomes, not just activity.
  • Partner with business and engineering to define problems, explore solution spaces, validate concepts, and ship products and features that move key metrics. You stay involved through launch and iteration, not just until handoff.
  • Prototype using AI tools to make decisions faster: Use Figma Make and Claude Code to build and iterate on flows and interfaces. Use AI to get you 80% of the way to a solution while you guide structure, behavior, and UX quality. Use prototypes as decision-making artifacts with business and engineering partners to decide what moves into the product.
  • Design the service, not just the screen: Shape workflows, processes, communications, and digital tools together, advocating for experiences that elevate the human elements of care delivery.
  • Ground UX strategy in evidence: Combine data + user insights to decide which problems are worth solving and how to approach them strategically.
  • Build for the team’s future: Add to and collaborate on our patterns, prompts, processes and knowledge.
  • Raise the bar for quality: Participate without ego in studio critiques and team reviews.
  • Lead with Honor’s principles: Use Honor’s leadership principles as your compass for your day-to-day work  that supports our mission: change the way society cares for older adults.

We’re looking for you to bring:

  • 7+ years in UX and product design
  • Fluency in using research and quantitative data to inform your design and systems thinking
  • Appetite for complexity: Energized by ambiguity and solving complex problems, and comfortable making calls when the path isn’t clear.
  • Strong systemic thinking with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems strategically, striking a balance between user needs, tech feasibility, and business goals
  • A bias towards action and an iterative approach to problem-solving
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to present and pitch design decisions with logic and concision to all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • A strong AI-native workflow and informed opinions on how AI can improve design quality, team capacity, and business value
  • A portfolio that shows strong product thinking, interaction design, and shipped work

Nice to haves:

  • Service design and multi-channel communications experience
  • Experience with Looker, business intelligence, or product analytics
  • Familiarity with design systems and extending shared components
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Experience in healthcare, government/civic tech, telehealth, digital health, insurance, fintech, marketplaces, consumer subscriptions, or another regulated or trust-sensitive domain
  • Personal or lived experience with caregiving, whether for an aging parent, a family member, or through work in care. We value the perspective it brings to designing for clients, families, and Care Professionals.
