About Medsender
Healthcare teams spend most of their day processing documents, entering data, and chasing follow-ups. Medsender’s AI Medical Assistant® takes on that work so staff can spend their time on patients.
We started in 2019 with fax automation, which is still how most medical records move between practices. That was the wedge. Today we handle referral management, patient reactivation, AI voice calls, and a growing set of workflows for more than 600 practice groups across all fifty states. We integrate with the major EHRs, and customers depend on us for work that cannot fail.
Patient engagement is where we go next. The incumbents in that category are large, entrenched, and built on stacks that predate any of this technology. We think an AI-native product wins, and we are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own the area and prove it.
The role
There is an initial product in market. Your job is to work out what it needs to become and lead the work to get it there. You will sit with practice staff, watch how the work actually happens, and find where an agent can take a job off their plate outright versus where a person has to stay in the loop. We want someone who likes staying with one problem long enough to become the expert on it.
You will report to Max Headley, our VP of Product.
What you’ll do
· Go deep with customers: Build real relationships with practice staff and leaders, watch them work, and understand the patient side of it. Look past feature requests to the workarounds and friction underneath.
· Own the area end to end: Set direction, pick the problems worth solving, and carry them through discovery, delivery, adoption, and measurable results.
· Take the MVP to best in class: Find where the current experience falls short and build a path to something complete. Put prototypes in front of customers, test them in real workflows, and keep refining the details.
· Build agents people trust: Define what finishing the job actually means, partner with engineering to build it, and make it obvious when staff need to step in.
· Prototype it yourself: There is no designer on this area yet. You will wireframe, prototype, and use AI coding tools daily to investigate product behavior, pull your own data, and get something testable in front of a customer without waiting on engineering.
· Measure and iterate: Track work completed, time returned to staff, patient follow-through, and adoption. When something is not working, find out why and use it to shape the next release.
What we’re looking for
· Senior product ownership. You have independently owned a B2B SaaS product area and delivered results. You have worked on products where the person who buys it and the person who uses it every day are not the same.
· Real discovery skill. You can point to a decision you made because of something you watched a customer do, not something they asked for.
· Sustained improvement. You have taken a product past its first release and made it substantially better over repeated cycles, and stayed accountable for how it performed.
· Daily use of AI coding tools (required). Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, whichever you prefer. We will ask what you have built, investigated, or fixed with one. This is an expectation of the job, not a bonus.
· Technical fluency. You can reason about system behavior and dependencies, query your own data, and judge whether what a coding agent produced is actually right.
· Comfort with incomplete information. We are small and moving quickly. You will make calls before you have everything you would like to have.
Nice to have
· Healthcare, patient engagement, or workflow automation.
· Products that serve both a business customer and that customer’s patients or end users.
· Building AI agents, evaluating them in real workflows, and designing the handoff between agent and person.
· Early-stage experience taking a first product into a mature one.
Logistics and comp
· Location: New York, in office 3 day per week w/ flexibility.
· Reports to: Max Headley VP of Product.
· Compensation: $160,000 to $200,000 base, plus equity with early exercise and an extended exercise window.
