With our headquarters in Dallas, Texas, and Centers of Excellence in Montreal, Quebec and Wroclaw, Poland, we collaborate across regions and time zones in a hybrid work environment that combines flexibility, connection, and meaningful impact.
Position: Head of SaaS Product Design
Location: Montreal, Canada (Hybrid 3 days/week preferred)
Position Type: Full-time
Position Summary
Trackforce is seeking a visionary Head of SaaS Product Design to define and lead the end-to-end design strategy for our global platform. This is a transformational leadership role responsible for elevating the entire product experience—from interface design and system architecture to usability strategy, application consolidation, and customer-driven innovation.
You will build and scale a modern design function from the ground up, embedding design deeply into product development while shaping how our platform looks, feels, and performs across web, mobile, and emerging interfaces. This role goes far beyond traditional UX—it encompasses holistic product design, including application layout and workflows, cross-product consistency, user research, design systems, data-informed usability optimization, and establishes continuous discovery.
As a key partner to Product and Engineering leadership, you will drive a cohesive, intuitive, and scalable user experience for a complex, mission-critical SaaS platform used by frontline and enterprise users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
Build the design function from zero — establish processes, tools, and standards
Create and maintain a unified design system across web, mobile, and Command Center products
Define the UX vision that modernizes the Trackforce interface (addressing ‘Windows XP’ feedback)
Embed design into every product domain — establish product trios (PM + Design + Eng Lead)
Research & Discovery
Run weekly customer research sessions — interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry with guards, dispatchers, and operations managers
Build the continuous discovery muscle: validate assumptions before engineering commitment
Synthesize Gong call data, Pendo analytics, and direct research into actionable design insights
Own the customer signal pipeline from research through validated recommendations
Team Building
Hire and manage Product Designer (embedded across domains)
Hire and manage User Researcher (validates assumptions, runs CAB research)
Mentor junior designers and establish career growth paths • Build a design culture that balances speed with craft
Execution
Deliver high-fidelity prototypes for enterprise and guarding features
Partner with engineering on design system implementation and component library
Own design QA — ensure shipped products match design intent
Drive accessibility and mobile-first design standards for the guard workforce
Required Qualifications
10+ years of UX/product design experience, 5+ in a leadership role
Experience building a design function or design system from scratch
Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design: research, wireframes, prototyping, design systems, shipped products
Experience designing for complex enterprise workflows (not just consumer apps)
Experience with mobile-first design for deskless/frontline workers
Strong facilitation skills — can run research sessions, design sprints, and stakeholder alignment workshops
Proficiency in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in security, workforce management, field operations, or facilities management
Experience integrating design with product analytics (Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
Experience at a PE-backed or high-growth B2B SaaS company
Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards
