Empowering K-12 educators to improve student outcomes with GLEAM® instruction.

About UnboundEd

We started UnboundEd in 2015 to work with educators on improving instruction so students can succeed. We empower K-12 educators to meet student needs through our grade-level, engaging, affirming, and meaningful (GLEAM®) instruction model. We design professional learning and support for educators at the district, school, and classroom levels, including teachers, coaches, principals, and district leaders. Our evidence-based approach combines standards, content, high-quality curricula, and culturally responsive teaching practices.

Our services include the Standards Institute™ (for example, Atlanta 2026), Cohort Programs, and expert speakers. We help educators develop their skills and knowledge, supporting school systems in making instructional changes.

Between 2022 and 2025, we worked in 43 states, partnering with 988 school districts and education agencies to support over 10 million students. We specialize in K-12 Education, Curriculum, Teacher Training, Education Leadership, Math, ELA, Education Equity, and Education Standards.

Mission & Values

Our mission is to empower educators to meet the needs of every student through GLEAM® instruction. We are committed to ensuring every student has access to effective teaching, and we aim to break the predictability of historic achievement patterns so all children can thrive. We believe that justice is found in the details of teaching and learning, and together, we address the predictability of student outcomes.

We seek to disrupt systemic racism in education and emphasize building asset-based beliefs and behaviors among educators. We believe that positive beliefs about student potential shape teaching and learning outcomes.

Team & Culture

We are a team of 51-200 employees, consisting of former classroom teachers, district and school leaders, curriculum writers, and education experts. We work remotely from home offices, using technology to collaborate effectively. We organize regular in-person events and team meetings. Some roles operate within core business hours, typically 9 am to 5 pm local time.
