About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in ETL development, Azure Databricks, and Power BI, who is passionate about enabling data-driven decision-making.
You will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data is clean, reliable, and accessible across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from multiple data sources
- Build and optimize data workflows using Azure Databricks (PySpark, SparkSQL)
- Develop and maintain data models for analytics and reporting in Power BI
- Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks
- Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data solutions
- Support data warehousing and data lake architectures within the Azure ecosystem
- Maintain metadata, data lineage, and documentation
- Optimize pipeline and query performance for scalability and cost efficiency
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are met
Technology Stack
ETL Tools: Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Python-based pipelines
Data Processing: Azure Databricks (PySpark, SparkSQL, Delta Lake)
Databases: SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse
Visualization: Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboards)
Cloud: Microsoft Azure (Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Key Vault, Logic Apps)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or similar role
Strong hands-on experience with:
- ETL tools/frameworks
- Azure Databricks (PySpark, SparkSQL, Delta Lake)
- SQL and relational database design
- Power BI (data modeling, DAX, reporting)
Solid understanding of data modeling, governance, and performance tuning
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
