We develop remote driving technology and offer door-to-door car rental services. Our service is live in central Las Vegas, Nevada. Users can request an electric vehicle through our “Vay Rent Cars by the Minute” app.

A Remote Driver delivers the vehicle to your location. You drive it, and a Remote Driver parks it at the end of your trip. You can rent by the minute or for a full day. We aim to offer an affordable way to get around.

We also offer B2B services for remote driving private cars, trucks, vans, and autonomous vehicles. Our technology stack includes a high-performance network for low-latency video streaming and data transport between vehicles and remote servers, plus a backend for fleet management, dispatch, payments, and real-time APIs.

In January 2023, we became the first company to drive a vehicle on public streets in Europe without a safety driver inside.

Our mission is to redefine urban mobility using technology that provides safe, efficient driverless services today. We want to be known for eliminating the need for personal car ownership, giving people the freedom of a car without the high cost, hassle, or environmental impact.

Vay operates with a team of 51-200 employees, founded in 2018. Vay is headquartered in Berlin, Germany, with additional offices in Las Vegas, U.S., and Hamburg, Germany.
