What we’re looking for

Venatus is looking for an exceptional person to join our global force as an IT Technical Engineer. As our IT Systems Engineer, you will be the primary architect and guardian of our corporate technology ecosystem. You won’t just be managing tickets and fixing issues; you will be building a scalable, automated, and secure infrastructure that supports our global team. We are looking for a technical powerhouse who can bridge the gap between traditional IT operations and modern “IT-as-Code” practices. Our ideal candidate would be a dedicated problem solver who is passionate and curious about all aspects of IT. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with strong technical experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills and high enthusiasm for overall company success

What you’ll do

  • Platform Mastery: Act as the primary administrator for Google Workspace, ensuring optimal secure configuration, license management, and seamless collaboration across the org.

  • Endpoint Excellence: Own the full lifecycle of employee hardware (Mac/Windows). This includes automated provisioning via MDM (e.g., Miradore, Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or similar), progressive patch management, and hardware procurement strategies.

  • Frontline Support: Work directly with internal employees via call, email and tickets to triage and resolve technical issues. Troubleshoot and fix technical problems on employee devices including OS, application or driver issues. Help resolve access issues to systems and platforms ensuring minimum downtime to the team.

  • Documentation and Knowledge sharing: Manage and optimise our IT support portal (currently in Jira Service Desk). Own and expand our knowledge base of technical troubleshooting information

  • Advanced Automation: Move beyond manual clicks. You will develop the use of APIs, low/no-code and scripting (Python, Apps Script, or Bash) solutions to automate repetitive tasks, such as user onboarding/offboarding and cross-platform data syncing.

  • Security Enforcement: Co-ordinate and collaborate with CISO and CTO on relevant security posture improvement projects, including recommending improvements. Implement and monitor robust security policies, including Zero Trust access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and disk encryption (FileVault/BitLocker).

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM): Manage our Identity Provider (e.g. Google Cloud Identity) to ensure the right people have the right access at the right time.

  • Vendor & Asset Management: Maintain a high-fidelity inventory of all company assets and manage relationships with key hardware and software vendors, including coordination of on-site support with our vendor partners.

What we’re looking for

  • Significant experience in IT Engineering or Systems Administration, with at least some experience in a senior or lead capacity.

  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Workspace administration and enterprise-grade MDM solutions.

  • Hands-on API experience: Proven ability to interact with REST APIs to pull reports or trigger actions across SaaS platforms.

  • Security-First Mindset: Good understanding of security best practices and how to translate them into technical controls.

  • Problem Solver: An uncanny ability to diagnose complex networking or software issues that others might miss.

Preferred Skills

  • Relevant certifications (Google Professional Collaboration Engineer, Jamf Certified Admin, or CISSP).

  • Awareness of security best practices such as: ISO 27001, NIST CSF or CIS benchmarks.

Benefits

  • A competitive salary

  • Medical Insurance (HMO)

  • SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG

  • 30 days holiday per year plus your birthday off

  • Option to buy and sell annual leave allowance

  • Excellent career opportunities in a growing, international company

  • Team building and training sessions
