We are a Series A SaaS company and provide the system of record for event marketing. Our software platform provides proprietary insights that helps high-growth companies find the highest ROI events, conferences and trade shows to attend and sponsor. We have built an AI-powered platform that customers describe as an event marketer’s dream.
Vendelux was founded in 2021, and our recent $14 million Series A was led by FirstMark, whose portfolio includes companies like Shopify, Pinterest, Discord, Airbnb, Draft Kings, Carta and Justworks (amongst others). Our leadership team includes alumni from Bain, ZoomInfo, Shutterstock, Compass, ModernLoop, Forter, Zulilly, NewtonX.
Data-driven marketers have plenty of tools to optimize their digital ad spend and verify that their ads showed where they were supposed to. We build the same kinds of tools, but for data-driven event marketers, who’ve previously been limited to scanning conference badges at their booth.
We’re growing, and looking for Senior Software Engineers to ship critical features and make key drive key infrastructure changes.
This is a full-time position based out of NYC. We have a NYC HQ, and our preference is to have engineers come in a hybrid set up with an expectation of 4 days in office. It reports directly to our Head of Engineering.
Scope of Responsibilities
Own substantial user-impacting projects from design to build to roll out
Participate in code and system design reviews
Contribute improvements to our internal processes and dev tools
Understand our users and their needs, and contribute to product discovery and prioritization with our leadership, product management, and design teams
Help grow the team via hiring and mentoring activities
Tech Stack
Frontend: Typescript, React, MUI
Backend: Python, Django, MySQL, AWS
Data: Python, Dagster, Snowflake, Fivetran
Other tools: Slack, Linear, GitHub
Qualifications
5+ years of experience building complex applications using a modern language (from Java to Typescriptl)
Track record of shaping and shipping valuable features
Track record of driving high-leverage improvements to infrastructure and process
Judgment to take on technical debt and risk where appropriate
Strong communication skills, especially written. Our engineering team is remote-first, so a lot of important work happens in chats and documents.
Nice-to-have: Previous startup experience
Nice-to-have: Data engineering or ML experience (or deep interest)
Nice-to-have: DevOps or platform/infrastructure experience (or deep interest)
