Wakam is a B2B2C digital insurer, creating white-label and embedded insurance solutions for 80+ partners across Europe. With operations in 32 countries, we are pioneering a transparent, tech-driven and mission-led approach to insurance.

We’re transforming not only the insurance experience for our partners and their customers, but also the way we work internally. We foster a culture of autonomy, ownership, and impact, supported by modern tools, AI, and data. Our People and Finance teams work hand in hand to create an environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and experiment.

šŸš€ About the Team

You’ll join our Group Finance / FP&A team, at the heart of strategic decision-making. The team’s mission is to:

  • ProvideĀ clear, forward-looking financial insightsĀ to Executive Management and operational leaders.
  • EnsureĀ robust, consistent financial steeringĀ across multiple entities and geographies.
  • DriveĀ continuous improvement, automation, and professionalization of our controlling and planning processes.

As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will report directly to the Chief FP&A and work closely with Accounting, Cash, Group Finance, and business leaders. This is a highly visible role with exposure to C‑level stakeholders and cross-functional projects.

šŸŽÆ Your Mission

Your mission is to provide reliable, insightful, and actionable financial analysis across Wakam’s French perimeter and Group Finance scope. You will be a key contributor to monthly reporting, quarterly closings, budgets, and forecasts, with a particular focus on multi-entity consolidation and overheads management.

Multi-Entity Consolidation

You will:

  • Centralize, review, and consolidate financial data from various entities (P&L, operational KPIs).
  • EnsureĀ consistency of management practices and chart of accountsĀ across entities, including intragroup rebilling alignment.
  • ProduceĀ consolidated analysesĀ (margins, profitability, costs by entity / business line, etc.) and proposeĀ optimization leversĀ in collaboration with the FP&A team.
  • Contribute to theĀ continuous improvement of data collection and financial reporting processesĀ to enhance quality, speed, and reliability.

Overheads Management

In close collaboration with another overheads controller, you will:

  • Set up, monitor, and analyzeĀ overheads reportsĀ (by nature, by department, by cost centre).
  • Build and challenge theĀ budgets of operational and support functions, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy.
  • IdentifyĀ variances vs. budget / forecast, propose correctiveĀ action plans, and monitor their implementation with stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute toĀ cost optimization, focusing on spend efficiency and tracking achieved savings.

Continuous Improvement & Tools

You will help professionalize and scale the controlling function by:

  • Participating in theĀ optimization of reporting, closing, and planning processes.
  • Making theĀ best possible use of our toolsĀ (Sage, Pigment, etc.) to automate reporting, improve data reliability, and streamline work.
  • Proposing and implementingĀ new performance indicatorsĀ that are relevant to our business and strategy.

🧠 What You Bring

You bring a strong financial and analytical toolkit, ideally in a multi-entity or group context:

  • 5+ years of experienceĀ in Financial Planning & Analysis, controlling, or similar roles, preferably at group or multi-entity level.
  • Solid experience withĀ P&L analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Proven ability toĀ consolidate and interpret complex financial data, turning it into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skillsĀ and strong command of financial tools and systems.
  • Experience withĀ Sage and/or PigmentĀ is a plus.
  • Experience in theĀ insurance sectorĀ is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Fluency in EnglishĀ (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus.

✨ Who You Are

Beyond your technical skills, you are a trusted business partner and a strong communicator:

  • You have exceptionalĀ analytical and synthesis skills, and can make complex financial topics understandable for non‑finance stakeholders.
  • You are comfortableĀ challenging management and C‑level stakeholders constructively, backing your views with data and insight.
  • You areĀ autonomous, structured, and reliable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • You areĀ curious and proactive, always looking for ways to improve processes, tools, and collaboration.
  • You enjoy working inĀ cross-functional, multicultural teamsĀ and value transparency and open feedback.

✨ AI

At Wakam, AI and automation are transforming the finance and insurance experience.

For this role, we’re looking for teammates who are eager to use AI tools to:

  • Streamline recurring tasksĀ such as data consolidation, variance comments, and management presentations.
  • Automate and industrialize reportingĀ and forecasting workflows.
  • Enrich analysis and decision-makingĀ through smarter data exploration, scenario modelling, and benchmarking.

You don’t need to be a technical expert—what matters most is your adaptability, curiosity, and willingness to learn. We will support your upskilling on AI and digital tools, so you can focus your time on high-value analysis and help build the transparent, high-impact finance function of tomorrow.

🌟 Why Join Wakam?
