About the Opportunity
We are looking for a talented, culturally fluent Bilingual Copywriter to join an established in-house Brand Marketing team at one of the most recognized financial brands in the country. This role sits at the intersection of language, culture, and brand, and the right person will understand that great Spanish-language marketing is never just a translation. It’s a reimagining.
You’ll work across a variety of web and print-based projects, from small product page updates to full customer experience builds, ensuring the brand voice comes through clearly, authentically, and consistently in both English and Spanish. This is also an opportunity to influence the team’s processes, architecture, and approach to Spanish-language marketing at scale.
Who You Are
You are a sharp, detail-obsessed writer who brings high standards, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine passion for creating meaningful experiences for the US Hispanic customer. You’ve worked in environments where brand consistency and regulatory accuracy matter, and you know how to balance creative excellence with compliance requirements without losing the voice. You’re equally comfortable writing a clever headline as you are navigating a legally sensitive product description, and you bring the same level of care to both.
You thrive in fast-moving, high-output environments, take initiative without waiting to be directed, and bring a positive, solutions-oriented attitude to every project you touch. You are the kind of Rosie who shows up ready, earns trust quickly, and leaves every team better than you found it.
What You’ll Do
- Review, edit, and approve translated content ensuring the brand personality and voice, clear, conversational, and engaging, shines through authentically in Spanish
- Adapt copy from English to Spanish in a way that feels native, inclusive, and relevant across all Hispanic subgroups
- Consult on how to resolve required regulatory and syntax changes from Legal and Linguists
- Make final decisions on stylistic suggestions to ensure consistency and brand integrity across all assets
- Consider the brand’s full impact across the Spanish-language customer experience, particularly where it meaningfully differs from English
- Guide the team in incorporating Hispanic insights and cultural best practices across all touchpoints
- Create and maintain a Spanish brand style guide
- Proofread and QA modular and variable content before final publishing across web, print, graphics, and video
- Collaborate ad-hoc with English copywriters and cross-functional partners as needed
- Attend relevant project meetings and contribute to team alignment
What You’ll Bring
- Full fluency in both English and Spanish — speaking and writing
- Impeccable grammar, punctuation, and spelling in both languages
- A keen understanding of the US Hispanic market and the ability to communicate inclusively across all Hispanic subgroups
- Strong attention to detail with a highly organized, deadline-driven work style
- A clear command of brand tone and voice, with the ability to adapt writing style based on message, channel, and audience
- An understanding of creative strategy and the confidence to present it clearly to stakeholders for buy-in
- Proven ability to navigate feedback from Legal and Linguists while protecting brand voice
- A team mentality and ease collaborating across disciplines, levels, and personalities
- Familiarity with Google’s collaborative tools — Docs, Slides, and Sheets is a plus
- A positive outlook, a low ego, and a genuine passion for doing great work
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience
- At least 4 years of experience in Spanish-language communications or creative writing
- Must have a portfolio
- Must complete an ELA (English Language Assessment) test and a Writing Assessment with the Company
Preferred
- 4 years of experience at a Hispanic agency or within an in-house Hispanic marketing team
- 1 year of experience in a highly regulated industry such as financial services
- Prior experience working with or within a large in-house brand team at an enterprise-level company
