We’re seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our growing eCommerce business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and financial operations within the eCommerce or CPG space—especially with high-volume Amazon sellers. You’ll take ownership of financial oversight across multiple channels, lead month-end close processes, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all accounting functions including forecasting, budgeting, and month-end close
- Analyze sales performance and financial data across Amazon Seller Central and other sales channels
- Manage inventory costing and perform regular reconciliations
- Ensure full tax compliance, including sales tax, nexus tracking, and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and leadership to optimize financial processes
- Identify and resolve chargebacks, reconciliation issues, and accounting discrepancies
- Provide insights to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a Financial Controller or similar accounting/finance role
- Proven experience in eCommerce, preferably with high-volume Amazon sales or CPG
- Expert-level proficiency with NetSuite ERP
- Deep understanding of Amazon Seller Central workflows, including chargebacks, payment flows, and reconciliation
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with Shopify, Walmart Marketplace, or other DTC/marketplace platforms
- Prior experience managing remote teams or working in a fully distributed environment
Applications/Software
- NetSuite ERP – Must have strong command.
- Amazon Seller Central – Deep understanding of:
- Sales flows
- Chargebacks
- Reconciliation
- Shopify – DTC platform.
- Walmart Marketplace – Additional sales channel experience.
- Other DTC or Marketplace Channels – (e.g., eBay, Target Plus, etc.)
