Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We also have a physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.
About your role
As a People Operations Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing the employee experience, optimizing processes, and driving organizational effectiveness. This role blends hands-on operational execution with strategic thinking, requiring strong cross-functional partnerships to deliver high-impact people initiatives.
You will balance daily administrative tasks and a service-oriented support model with broader strategic initiatives and programs, ensuring alignment with both immediate employee needs and long-term business goals. Your work will span onboarding, benefits, employee experience, systems and automation, facilities, and program management, ensuring our people programs are efficient, scalable, and effective.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, seamlessly navigating between tactical execution and big-picture strategy. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes, enhance efficiencies, and support Juniper Square’s continued growth.
What you’ll do
Lead and support People Operations initiatives, ensuring high standards and smooth execution in areas such as benefits administration, internship and emerging talent programs, learning and development initiatives, employee recognition programs, facilities operations, and virtual engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities may include benefits compliance and strategy work, open enrollment, benefits presentations for new hire onboarding, oversight of employee recognition programs, support for payroll processes, ensuring data integrity in our systems, vendor management, and evaluation of office space.
Balance daily administrative tasks and a service-oriented support model with broader strategic initiatives and programs, ensuring alignment with business and employee needs both short and long-term.
Deliver a best-in-class employee experience through clear communication, empathy, and a commitment to inclusivity.
Oversee employee experience processes, driving operational excellence and engagement.
Streamline and enhance people processes for efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and process improvements.
Provide expert guidance and lead impactful initiatives aligned with business goals.
Partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with company objectives.
Drive change management efforts, balancing transparency, trust, and resistance mitigation.
Lead complex, high-impact projects that shape the workplace culture and long-term success.
Collaborate cross-functionally, proactively communicating and addressing roadblocks.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a related function, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a strong track record of driving strategic initiatives.
Strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance, and systems, with experience driving operational improvements.
Experience with benefits administration is a must, ideally across multiple countries.
Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and manage complex projects effectively.
Experience with program management , leading and supporting company-wide people programs that enhance the employee experience, ensuring they are well-structured, effectively communicated, and successfully implemented.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage and communicate with employees.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to balance direct feedback with empathy and relationship-building.
Analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience with HR systems (global HRIS, payroll, compliance tracking); ADP experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently while also thriving in a highly collaborative team.
Experience working with global teams and navigating cultural nuances in people operations is a plus.
Experience implementing new HR tools and systems, specifically an HRIS, is a plus.
Compensation
Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
