Overview

We are seeking a seasoned leader for Financial Systems to serve as RTR (Record to Report) Solution Architect, leading strategy, design, and delivery for RTR systems and supporting Order To Cash workflows. This role oversees a critical team and our Oracle Financials ecosystem. The role also focuses on organizational priorities to integrate new technologies and enable scalable, compliant, and efficient financial processes.

About the Team

The Finance Systems and Solutions (FINSS) team owns the end-to-end lifecycle, governance, and evolution of technology systems that enables Finance across Instacart. We align deeply with Finance leadership to ensure that systems serve not just as tools, but as strategic enablers of insight, control, and growth.

About the Role

The role is critical to enabling scalable, efficient, and compliant financial processes across Oracle Financials Cloud and related systems. The Senior Manager will align systems strategy with business goals, drive process improvement, and guide cross-functional execution to support the organization’s financial transformation.

  • Own RTR systems strategy and execution, with close integration into O2C workflows (revenue focus). Understand end user perspectives for both Q2C and RTR end to end processes as well as dependent upstream and downstream integrations.
  • Be hands-on in delivering RTR solutions while managing a team responsible for both RTR and O2C operations.
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts supporting Oracle Cloud applications, Oracle - FAH, Billing Platform, High Radius, Workiva, Floqast, and related applications
  • Drive transformation and scalability of our financial systems ecosystem
  • Act as a bridge between finance, accounting, data engineering, product teams, and more, ensuring aligned delivery

About the Job

  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Manage and coach a small team of analysts supporting RTR and O2C system operations.
    • Provide clear work direction and ensure accountability for high-quality execution across initiatives.
    • Actively mentor and coach team members, helping them develop expertise in RTR and O2C domains while fostering cross-functional knowledge and growth.
    • Provide oversight across RTR and O2C workflows, ensuring collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and seamless execution.
    • Empower the team by assigning ownership and accountability for day-to-day operations and project activities.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment with a focus on technical growth, cross-training, and career development.
  • RTR Solution Architecture & Delivery and O2C Leadership

    • Lead the design and delivery of scalable, compliant RTR solutions across Oracle modules including GL, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Fusion Accounting Hub (FAH).
    • Architect and optimize workflows for close, intercompany, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
    • Translate business needs into system capabilities that improve efficiency, control, and audit readiness.
    • Serve as the functional lead and DRI on RTR- and O2C-related initiatives, in partnership with a Project Manager who oversees the full project lifecycle.
    • Oversee integrations across RTR and O2C, including systems such as the Billing Platform, FloQast, Workiva, and the Data Warehouse.
    • Lead O2C functional areas—order management, invoicing, AR, collections, and credit—ensuring process alignment with RTR and driving operational efficiency.
    • Provide strategic direction and coaching to team members supporting O2C and RTR, ensuring high-quality, cross-functional execution.
  • Process Optimization & Controls

    • Design and implement RTR and O2C processes that are compliant, automated, and audit-ready, reducing manual work, operational risk, and control gaps.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the close cycle, revenue workflows, reconciliations, and reporting, leveraging Oracle and adjacent tools (e.g., FloQast, Workiva, Billing Platform).
    • Partner with Audit, Compliance, and Security stakeholders to enforce least-privilege access models and maintain strong control environments across RTR and O2C.
  • Strategic Roadmapping & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Define and maintain the RTR and O2C systems roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise finance, compliance, and operational strategies.
    • Drive solution planning for initiatives spanning quote-to-cash, billing, collections, intercompany, and financial reporting, in collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and ensure upstream and downstream data flows are accurate, timely, and scalable.
    • Partner with IT and Engineering to support secure, performant, and integrated architecture across Oracle and connected platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Data Warehouse, etc.).
  • Innovation & AI Readiness

    • Contribute to identification and implementation of automation, analytics, and AI-driven solutions that streamline reporting and financial processes.
    • Stay current with Oracle’s quarterly updates and industry trends to recommend system innovations.
