Job description
At Counterpart Health, we are transforming healthcare and improving patient care with our innovative primary care tool, Counterpart Assistant. By supporting Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), we are able to deliver improved outcomes to our patients at a lower cost through early diagnosis and longitudinal care management of chronic conditions.
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager on the Counterpart team to lead the development of our clinical data platform—a critical foundation that enables the rest of the company to generate timely insights, support clinical workflows, and power predictive models. You’ll drive platform strategy, ensure data quality and integrity, and be accountable for scaling the infrastructure that powers our expanding product portfolio.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will:
- Lead a pod of data engineers to iteratively improve our clinical data platform, enabling faster insights and more effective care delivery.
- Act as the triad lead (Product, Engineering, Data Science), coordinating deeply with clinical teams (MDs, RNs, MAs, medical coders) and cross-functional product pods.
- Own the roadmap: align platform investments with company goals, balancing foundational work with the needs of dependent teams.
- Define and track metrics that clearly communicate pod impact clearly to leadership and dependent pods. You’ll know what’s working, what isn’t, and why.
- Establish strong data governance practices and proactively monitor and address data quality issues—prioritizing root cause resolution over temporary fixes.
- Become the go-to expert on how our platform processes, enriches, and distributes clinical data (EHR, HIE, ADT, claims, labs, pharmacy, etc.).
- Raise the bar on execution by proactively identifying blockers, surfacing technical risks, and driving decision-making in ambiguous situations.
- Build high-trust relationships across teams, providing clarity and structure that help others move faster and with greater confidence.
Success in this role looks like:
In the first 90 days:
- You’ve assessed and stabilized the pod’s roadmap and execution cadence.
- You’ve shipped improvements to key platform components (e.g. ingestion, standardization, deduplication, access patterns).
- You’ve instrumented core dashboards that communicate the value of the pod’s work and identified one area where deeper technical investment could yield clear customer or business value.
By 6 months:
- You’re routinely consulted by other pods on how clinical data flows and are seen as a strategic thought partner for roadmap and sequencing decisions.
- You’ve implemented measurable improvements to data usability and platform reliability.
- You’ve operationalized a way to capture and prioritize new feature requests from other pods—turning inbound asks into a proactive roadmap.
Beyond 6 months:
- You’ve led cross-pod efforts to scale or refactor parts of the platform, driving long-term leverage across our product suite.
- You own and evolve the product strategy for the clinical data platform.
- You’re a coach and mentor to other PMs, helping them understand how platform decisions shape the broader product experience.
You should get in touch if:
- You have 5+ years of experience in product management with a focus on data platforms or healthcare data infrastructure.
- You have a strong technical foundation—you’re comfortable with APIs, data pipelines, and querying datasets via SQL or similar tools.
- You’ve worked with healthcare data formats and standards like FHIR, HL7, CCLF, EHR, claims, labs, or ADT feeds.
- You’re a clear thinker and communicator, able to zoom out to strategy and zoom in to edge cases with engineering.
- You drive outcomes—not just projects—and hold yourself and others to a high bar.
- You take initiative in unstructured spaces and love turning ambiguity into systems that scale.
