Title: CPT-10570 Mortgage Loan Assistant Virtual Assistant

Independent Contractor – Business Support / Senior Level (Remote).

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Assistant VA to manage loan applications, document collection, submission workflows, and closings. Prior experience with mortgage brokers or lenders is preferred, with familiarity in United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) or PennyMac a plus.

This part-time role is 4 hours daily for the first 30 days, with potential extension based on performance and workload.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

  1. Loan Application Management
    1. Take complete mortgage loan applications over the phone with borrowers.
    2. Accurately input borrower information into the lender’s system.
    3. Review applications for completeness and compliance before submission.
    4. Ensure proper documentation is requested upfront to prevent delays.
  2. Document Collection & File Preparation
    1. Identify and request required borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, tax returns, etc.).
    2. Review submitted documents for accuracy and completeness.
    3. Prepare files for online submission through lender portals.
    4. Submit loan packages for underwriting review.
  3. Lender Portal & Submission Experience
    1. Work inside lender platforms such as United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) and/or PennyMac.
    2. Manage online approvals and status updates.
    3. Monitor pipeline for underwriting decisions.
  4. Conditions & Stipulation Management
    1. Review underwriting conditions.
    2. Communicate required stipulations to borrowers.
    3. Gather and upload additional documentation to satisfy conditions.
    4. Ensure timely response to avoid closing delays.
  5. Title & Closing Coordination
    1. Coordinate with title companies.
    2. Assist in scheduling closings.
    3. Ensure all required documentation is submitted prior to funding.
    4. Follow up through final approval and closing confirmation.

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.

Skills

The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Assistant or Loan Processor.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end mortgage loan process.
  • Experience taking applications over the phone.
  • Hands-on experience submitting loans through lender portals.
  • Experience with UWM and/or PennyMac strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and document review skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
  • Clear, professional phone communication skills (Level A–B accent required).
  • Comfortable coordinating with borrowers, lenders, and title companies.
  • Ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
  • APPLICATION SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE / REQUIRED TOOLS
    • Lender Portals: UWM (United Wholesale Mortgage), PennyMac
    • Mortgage Processing: LOS systems (Encompass, Calyx, or similar preferred)
    • Communication: Phone system, Gmail / Outlook
    • File Management: Google Drive, Dropbox
    • Tracking: CRM or Loan Tracking Software

Work Schedule

  • Contracted Hours per Week: 20 Hours (4 hours daily; Part-Time – initial 30 days)
  • Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday
  • Daily Working Time: 4 hours daily (CST)

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Terms of Engagement

  • Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
  • This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
  • All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
