What We Need
Do you enjoy making diverse characters feel truly alive, dynamic, and spectacular? Then join us as a Senior Animator!
We need a creative force who can envision and craft animations across 2K’s diverse portfolio of games. Apply your expert knowledge of animation fundamentals, Unreal/Maya workflows, and motion capture skills to deliver high-quality motion that guarantees an engaging player experience on every title. What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Lead Animator and Design team to define the character’s motion and personality.
- Set the high-quality standard by crafting key-frame, stylized, and mocap animation for a variety of characters, including humans, animals, and multi-limbed creatures.
- Partner with Tech Art and Engineering to integrate assets, optimize workflows, and proactively troubleshoot all rigging and pipeline issues.
- Manage your tasks and coordinate with production to ensure all deliveries meet deadlines.
What Will Make You A Great Fit
- 4+ years of experience as a Senior animator working in the gaming industry.
- Expert knowledge of Maya and MotionBuilder, including keyframe editing, layers, and mocap cleanup and refinement.
- Demonstrate a collaborative spirit, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently, actively incorporating direction and constructive feedback
- Expert-level animation skills covering keyframe, motion capture, and traditional principles (timing, weight, and body mechanics).
- Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine (or comparable engine) covering animation blueprints and motion blending.
Nice to Have
- Background in traditional animation.
- Character rigging experience.
- Mentorship or coaching experience.
