About Aspire Living & Learning
We are a private, non-profit human service and educational organization, founded in 1981. Formerly known as Institute of Professional Practice, Inc., we serve neurodiverse children and adults, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We empower individuals to live more fully and independently in their communities through various services. These include ABA services, special education, behavioral services, residential services, vocational services, day programs, foster care (including specialized foster care), home-based services, medical complexities, and early intervention. We also partner with public schools.
We operate across five states: Maryland, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
Mission & Values
Our mission is to empower neurodiverse children and adults through person-centered programs and supports, helping them live fully and independently in their communities. We believe everyone deserves the resources to live with independence, connection, and purpose, and that people thrive when supported to live, learn, and grow where they are.
We are committed to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where all employees are valued and supported. We encourage and celebrate differences, actively working against discrimination, and strive to treat everyone with dignity and respect. We are anti-racist, challenge stigma, and continually update our policies and practices to support inclusion.

Employees are encouraged to ask questions, give and receive feedback, get involved, and aim for a positive impact. We prioritize staff development, staying connected with training resources, colleges, and universities to remain current with treatments, educational techniques, and service delivery.
For clinical staff, we offer supervision by licensed clinicians and board-certified behavior analysts, continuing education assistance, and development opportunities. We also have a strong DEIB Committee, training, and advocacy efforts to ensure a collaborative and inclusive workplace.
