What You’ll Do
We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and maintain the implementation, upgrade, operations, and compliance of IT Infrastructure Systems. This role will report directly to the Director, IT Server, Storage and Cloud. The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the overall technical installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and network-related infrastructure. This individual is a thought leader, process-focused, detail-oriented, organized, strategic, and thorough to ensure IT is the best position to support the business to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure system. This role collaborates closely with business stakeholders as well as Business IT to ensure that the overall BridgeBio business computing infrastructure meets their needs and enables business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead support engineer for multi-tiered IT infrastructure services composed of multiple vendor and internal parties
- Manage networks, servers, and core infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, Meraki Networks, GoDaddy, Email Protection, Okta, Data Protection)
- Ability to solve problems and deliver results efficiently through scripting and automation
- Manage and support server and infra technologies both on-prem and cloud (Azure & AWS)
- Proficient with AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, Workspaces)
- Administer Office 365 for shared calendar, shared mailbox, distribution list management, and licensing.
- Escalation support for all user account related tasks consisting of AD/Email, video conferencing, and mobile devices
- Manage internet service providers across all Sites
- Share management of core Business platforms (Office 365, Zoom, SharePoint, Printers, OneDrive, etc.)
- Manage conferencing technology as the primary lead for design, deployment, and support for related platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc)
- Develop and improve the Infrastructure Service in the areas of monitoring, provisioning, and request processes
- Manage security incidents, investigations, resolutions, and reporting
- Drive resolution of high severity outages impacting IT infrastructure
- Manage the engagement, delivery, and oversight of activities related to Infrastructure services provided by external vendors and service providers
- Lead the discovery, evaluation, and selection of systems and infrastructure solutions in conjunction with IT strategy and business requirements
- Partner with the business areas to identify system requirements and translate business requirements into functional service projects, enhancements, and support
- Support GxP and SOX compliance activities
Where You’ll Work
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration 2-3x per week in our San Francisco Office.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in IT, providing direct technical support of IT Infrastructure.
- 3+ years of IT experience in similarly sized growing Biotech companies
- Broad IT Infrastructure experience, with emphasis on Life Sciences-related systems delivery required
- Proven experience with managing and utilizing cloud infrastructure in a service delivery process
- Successful experience managing the following infrastructure: Meraki FW/Wi-Fi, Azure, AWS EC2, InfoSec Monitoring Services, MS Active Directory, DNS, Okta, Server Backups, NAS Storage Solutions
- Knowledge or experience with the following infrastructure processes: DR and HA, Change Control, Maintenance management, InfoSec Breach Management and Resolution
- Ability to script with Powershell, Python, and Perl
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, data privacy practices and laws including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, SOX, and HIPAA as they relate to the management of IT Infrastructure
- Must have a strong understanding of IT Infrastructure as part of a business function (SLA’s, ITIL practices, etc.)
- Possess strong collaboration skills working with various project teams
- Must be able to handle changing and competing priorities where the path forward is not always clear at the outset and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Must communicate exceptionally well, both in writing and verbally, including success communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly language and technical writing skills
- Results-oriented team player who leads by example and takes full ownership of work

At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
