We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of HVAC Quality Assurance Project Manager. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing various projects within a technical operational environment.
Why this Role is Important:
The role of Project Manager plays a pivotal role ensuring a successful execution of projects, maintains relationships with third-party vendors, and meets client needs while delivering results.
Responsibilities:
Independently manages multiple Test and Balance projects of varying size and complexity.
Oversee TAB and Commissioning field crews to ensure adherence to procedures and accuracy in testing
Request and review mechanical drawings, HVAC submittals, and specifications to assist teams with areas of focus
Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties/vendors
Participates in contractor meetings for project planning and scheduling
Manage change to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Review test air balancing and commissioning reports with our engineering team and contractors to develop a scope of work addressing site issues or deficiencies
Communicate directly with customers, project engagement managers and executive teams to provide updates of findings and recommendations
Manages project associated with approved recommended solutions
Handles customer escalations and ensures timely resolution.
Offers remote support to vendors/contractors during TAB and Commissioning
Reviews surveys to ensure accuracy and quality of work align with Budderfly standards
Holds contractors accountable for any communication, coordination, or installation issues, including completion of punch list items
Performs the job close out process, ensuring all documentation is filed appropriately and post surveys have been uploaded and approved by all necessary parties
Responsible for managing the financial execution of assigned projects to budget
Review contractor invoices to ensure accuracy and all necessary supporting information has been provided.
Other job-related duties may be assigned.
Desired Characteristics:
- Broad understanding of project management and operational policies, procedures, and practices.
- Must possess highly developed interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service.
Desired Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in HVAC installations
Strong understanding of mechanical systems including air balancing, duct design, VAV systems, hydronic, and controls.
Certification through NEBB, AABC, or TABB preferred
Bachelor ‘s Degree in Business, Economics, or other related field of study.
Project Management Certification and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification preferred but not required.
Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently with complex inter-dependencies.
Experience in Energy space helpful but not required.
Excellent problem solving and customer service skills.
Extensive organizational and time-management skills to be able to meet aggressive deadlines.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Flexible hours are required as field crews’ schedules will vary and include some weekend and late-night work.

Compensation
$85,000—$100,000 USD
Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
