About CAMBA

Each year, we help around 80,000 New Yorkers, including over 11,000 young people. We run more than 180 programs at over 100 locations throughout the city.

Our services include homelessness prevention, supportive housing, job training, after-school programs, college readiness, family shelter, and developing affordable housing. Our Legal Services team provides consumer law support to low-income New Yorkers. We also have a Program Evaluation team that collects, analyzes, and reports data to improve our programs.

Over half of the people we help are immigrants and refugees, and more than 85% of families we serve live in poverty. Our core areas are economic development, education and youth development, family support, health, housing services and development, and legal services. We were founded in 1977.
