About the Role
We’re looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to own and scale how CapIntel recognizes, reports, and operationalizes revenue as our company grows. CapIntel is a leading SaaS platform helping financial professionals deliver better advice. This is a hands-on, technical role with full ownership of SaaS revenue recognition: contract review, billing logic, month-end close, metrics, and audit readiness.
You’ll be the subject matter expert for SaaS revenue recognition and Maxio, ensuring our revenue data is accurate, compliant, automated, and trusted across Finance, RevOps, FP&A, Sales, and Customer Success. This role is critical to strengthening our financial foundation and enabling confident decision-making as we scale.
What You’ll Do
- Own revenue recognition under Canadian accounting standards (ASPE) for SaaS subscription, usage-based, and professional services revenue
- Lead revenue workflows in Maxio, ensuring it is the source of truth for billing and revenue recognition
- Review customer contracts and order forms
- Own the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue schedules, and flux analysis
- Partner with RevOps and FP&A to align revenue across actuals, forecasts, and SaaS metrics
- Improve documentation, controls, and audit trails related to revenue processes
- Prepare revenue-related schedules for internal reviews, tax filings, and external audits
- Manage commodity tax compliance and filings ( GST/HST/QST), and support cross-border tax considerations in collaboration with external advisors
What We’re Looking For
- Several years of experience as a Revenue Accounting Manager or similar role in a SaaS or technology environment, with hands-on ownership of revenue recognition and reporting
- CPA designation is strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Maxio and revenue automation tools, including workflow design and process optimization
- Proven ownership of SaaS revenue recognition, including subscriptions, usage-based revenue, and professional services
- Strong understanding of SaaS revenue metrics ( ARR, CARR, deferred revenue) and the quote-to-cash lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience managing commodity tax compliance (GST/HST/QST); exposure to US compliance and cross-border tax issues is an asset
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and automation tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills; able to translate complex financial data for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across Finance, RevOps, Sales, Legal, and CX
- Comfortable operating in a scaling, evolving environment, with a process-oriented and detail-focused approach
Bonus Experience
- Multi-entity and multi-currency revenue accounting
- Experience supporting system implementations or enhancements
- Experience with Xero is an asset
The Interview Process
- Round 1: 30-minute video interviewwith a member of the Talent Acquisition team
- Round 2: 60-minute video interview with the Senior Accounting Manager
- Round 3: 45-minute video interview with a member of the Finance team
- Round 4: 60-minute presentation to a panel of cross-functional stakeholders

Your final offer will reflect your experience, skillset, and location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified.
Compensation at CapIntel goes beyond base pay. Depending on the role, total rewards may include variable pay, equity, comprehensive benefits, flexible time off, and dedicated opportunities for growth and development.

For roles based in or eligible to work from Ontario, the expected base salary range is:
$95,000—$145,000 CAD
