JOB HIGHLIGHT
You’ll be a driving force behind charity: water’s corporate partnership growth — bringing the strategic instincts, market presence, and dealmaking chops to systematically identify, pursue, and close high-value brand partnerships that advance our mission and fuel the organization’s revenue goals.
JOB SUMMARY
As the Senior Manager of New Business, you’ll own the full new business lifecycle — from pipeline strategy and prospecting to pitching and closing — with an unwavering focus on corporate brands and companies who share our values and ambitions. You’ll bring seasoned market knowledge and a sharp, sales-driven instinct for opportunity, representing charity: water externally as a credible, compelling, and passionate brand ambassador with the experience to earn the trust of senior marketing, CSR, philanthropic, and brand leaders. You’ll report to the Senior Director of Partnerships and serve as a primary driver of new revenue on the team, accountable for bringing new corporate partners into the fold and converting them into lasting relationships. You’ll also be a strategic steward of a powerful asset: our Experience Lab in Franklin, TN — an immersive, one-of-a-kind brand experience built to inspire and convert prospective partners. You’ll integrate this space thoughtfully into your new business strategy, with particular emphasis on growing our presence in the Nashville market and surrounding region, and a readiness to travel there frequently on a day-trip basis.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
- Contributing directly to the Global Partnerships team’s annual revenue goals with a dedicated new business target; owning your number and pursuing it with discipline, creativity, and a clear process behind every move
- Developing and executing a comprehensive new business strategy that drives revenue growth, enhances our presence in the market, and advances charity: water’s mission with defined KPIs and pipeline targets that keep progress visible and momentum high
- Serving as a front-facing brand ambassador and sales leader in meetings, pitch rooms, and networking settings with the polish, confidence, and infectious passion that turns introductions into partnership opportunities
- Strategically prospecting and pitching potential new partners through a mix of direct outreach, networking, industry events, referrals, and research
- Preparing compelling outreach materials, tailored proposals, pitch decks, and partnership packages, that speak directly to what prospects care about and make an undeniable case for why charity: water is the right partner
- Identifying and closing inbound opportunities with the potential to grow into long-term, flagship-level brand partnerships
- Work with the partnerships team on a proactive “win back” strategy for lapsed partners
- Strategically leveraging the charity: water Experience Lab as a premier prospecting and deal-closing tool, with a particular focus on building new business in the Nashville market and a readiness to travel there regularly on a day-trip basis
- Managing the full pipeline with rigor: tracking outreach, deal stages, and revenue forecasts in Salesforce to keep the team informed and deals moving forward
- Representing charity: water at virtual and in-person networking events and industry moments to build the funnel, deepen relationships, and stay ahead of where the market is heading
- Staying sharp on corporate social responsibility trends, cause marketing, and brand partnership best practices
- Serving as a confident and compelling public speaker to build awareness for the organization, engage prospective partners, and inspire new business opportunities
- Holding a small portfolio of select donors alongside new business responsibilities
YOU MUST HAVE…
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or accumulated experience in sales, fundraising, marketing, or advertising
- 5+ years of new business development or sales experience, with a proven track record of hitting revenue goals and closing meaningful deals
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and the executive presence to credibly represent charity: water to senior-level marketing, CSR, and brand leaders
- Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities — articulate, persuasive, and compelling, whether you’re writing a pitch deck, presenting on stage, or sitting across the table from a prospective partner
- A strategic mindset with the ability to connect our mission to partners’ larger business goals and build an undeniable case for why charity: water is the right fit
- A genuine, infectious passion for our mission that energizes and inspires
- The drive, sophistication, and entrepreneurial spirit to help shape the future of this team and the organization as a whole
- The ability to thrive in a remote environment — self-directed and highly accountable when working independently, while remaining a present, collaborative, and considerate team member who communicates proactively and shows up with respect for the people around them
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for speaking engagements, donor meetings, and stewardship events
- A genuine embodiment of charity: water’s core values — bringing integrity, respect, excellence, innovation, passion, and generosity to every interaction
- A positive and solutions-driven mindset
IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE…

- A network of strong corporate relationships with marketing and CSR leaders
- Experience effectively using Salesforce as a CRM tool
