We provide virtual behavioral health care, offering personalized, intensive treatment for kids, teens, and adults with serious mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Our programs combine clinical expertise, human connection, and measurement-based care to help clients heal long-term. Charlie Health was founded in 2020.

Our technology team builds web and mobile products for clients and care teams, focusing on features for communication, scheduling, and other essential workflows using React, Python, and PostgreSQL. We also develop a Partner Experience platform that connects care partners with our behavioral health services and handles referrals and secure integrations. Our data infrastructure, built with tools like Snowflake, dbt, Hex, and Tableau, helps clinical and business teams make informed decisions and supports revenue collection, financial reporting, and the patient financial experience through ELT pipelines. The Core Platform team works on developer productivity, AI tooling, observability, and shared services.

Our mission is to expand access to personalized, virtual behavioral health treatment and constantly improve the care experience. We are driven by the goal of improving mental healthcare access and reducing treatment barriers through strong data solutions and a dedication to positive behavioral health outcomes.

Charlie Health employs 1001-5000 people. Our work culture values collaboration, learning, and quick iteration in a fast-paced setting. We encourage technical excellence, trust, and continuous improvement, supporting high-performing and inclusive teams. Engineers often join on-call rotations to make sure clients always have access to care. We frequently collaborate across product, design, and other teams. We support asynchronous collaboration and offer hybrid or remote work options. However, some roles, like certain data engineering positions, may require specific in-office presence (e.g., 4 days a week in NYC), and other NYC-area candidates may have onsite expectations. Mentoring and knowledge sharing are also important parts of our culture.
