About the role
An exciting opportunity has opened up in our Investment Team.
We are seeking an experienced leader to join the team in a pivotal senior role. This position offers the opportunity to shape and oversee the framework for stakeholder reporting on discretionary investment solutions. This team is also responsible for significant quantitative analytical work including managing our SAA review process and driving innovation in bespoke analytics and operational efficiency. The role also encompasses managing relationships with third parties on UCITS trade execution and engaging with Manco and fund boards.
In the role, the successful candidate will:
- Lead and oversee team operations across fund performance, reporting, trading, and quantitative analytics, ensuring alignment with investment policies and strategic asset allocation (SAA) objectives.
- Recommend changes to funds and model portfolios based on SAA analysis. Collaborate with Investment Strategy and Selection teams to ensure portfolios allocations are appropriate.
- Supervise fund allocation changes and trade execution, providing oversight and ensuring compliance with governance and risk frameworks.
- Direct performance monitoring and reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful analysis of portfolio performance, attribution, and risk metrics to Investment Committees and external stakeholders.
- Perform ad hoc analytical work on portfolios on funds, competitor analysis, costs
- Guide investment analysis to support the Investment Committee’s evaluations of current and prospective products.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with fund boards, Manco, regulators, external service providers, and internal client advisers, acting as the primary escalation point for investment-related queries.
- Oversee documentation and reporting for internal governance and external audiences, including fund boards and regulators.
- Drive operational efficiency by reviewing and enhancing procedures, developing key controls and metrics, and embedding automation and technology solutions.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in fund management, performance analytics, or investment operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA or FRM.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and portfolio construction techniques.
- Experience dealing with Fund boards,
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including UCITS.
- Detailed understanding of quantitative analytics, including performance measurement, attribution, and risk analysis.
- Technical capability with programming languages (Python, SQL)
- Experience with research tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet is required.
- Understanding of ESG reporting and analysis would be beneficial
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insights for boards and advisers.
- Proven organizational and strategic planning ability, with a track record of delivering operational improvements and managing cross-functional initiatives.
