Summary: We’re on the lookout for a talented Backend Developer to join our client’s dynamic team and help them scale their high-traffic, minimalist infrastructure! They own a platform that enables individuals and organizations to host and share various types of files and material online. This is a fantastic chance to take the lead and mentor a technical team, with the flexibility to shape the future of a product that millions of people around the globe rely on.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a small technical team (three junior to mid-level developers)
- Take ownership of and optimize the tech stack that serves millions worldwide.
- Work closely with the product manager, CEO/CTO, and designer to enhance the user experience.
- Implement and maintain scalable backend solutions that make a difference.
- Play a key role in continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work within the UK timezone.
- Proficient in AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, EC2, CloudFront, and SQS.
- Experience with Stripe APIs.
- Comfortable with DevOps practices.
- 5+ years of backend development experience using NodeJS (Express), DynamoDB
- Bonus points for some experience with ReactJS
