We are a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company that develops and sells vaccines for infectious diseases. We use Toll-like Receptor (TLR) stimulation and adjuvant technology in our vaccine development.

Our two commercial products are the HEPLISAV-B® vaccine and CpG 1018® adjuvant. HEPLISAV-B® prevents Hepatitis B virus infection in adults 18 and older and is approved in the U.S., the European Union, and the United Kingdom. CpG 1018® adjuvant is used in HEPLISAV-B and several adjuvanted COVID-19 vaccines.

We focus on infectious diseases, biodefense, and vaccine manufacturing within the biotechnology research industry. Our headquarters are in Emeryville, CA, USA. We also operate Dynavax GmbH (Dynavax Europe) in Düsseldorf, Germany, which has over 25 years of experience in vaccine and biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing.

Our activities include CMC initiatives, drug-substance process development, regulatory submissions (using Veeva RIM), clinical operations, retail marketing, and data and AI architecture.
