We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant with strong experience in construction accounting to support financial operations across multiple projects.
This role requires someone who is highly organized, experienced in industry-specific processes, and comfortable working with project teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project-level accounting, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
Prepare and process AIA pay applications and track progress billing
Monitor project costs, job costing, and variance analysis
Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks
Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgets and financials are aligned
Handle accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects
Reconcile accounts and ensure timely month-end close processes
Support compliance with contract terms and financial requirements
Proven experience in construction accounting
Strong knowledge of AIA billing and pay applications
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Nice to Have
- Experience working with U.S.-based construction companies
- Familiarity with lien waivers, retainage, and subcontractor billing
- Advanced Excel skills
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of construction accounting and can independently manage project finances with accuracy and efficiency.
- Client Relationship : You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
- Payments : All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
- Vacation Leaves and Holidays : While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
