Job Description
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
This is a hybrid working role, based on 3 office days at our Wolverhampton site and 2 days home working.
We are looking for an HR Advisor to join the UK HR team located at our Wolverhampton site (situated at i54 Business Park, just off Junction 2 of M54).
Key responsibilities in this role include:
Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR matters, including performance management, employee relations, UK employment law and HR policies.
Manage and resolve employee relations matters in a timely and effective manner.
Support the wider HR and management team in promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Attend grievance, investigation and disciplinary hearings advising all parties in line with current legislation and policy.
Deliver HR related training courses to managers and team leaders as part of our line manager development programmes / training pathways.
Coordinate the annual pay review process for employees across the UK creating the necessary databases to support managers.
Lead the approval process for appointment / changes relating to Senior Managers and coordinate their specific annual review process.
Manage our induction programme for managers and support coordination of senior manager inductions.
Coordinate sickness absence data and welfare meetings.
Assist with the development and implementation of HR initiatives, talent management and employee engagement strategies.
Support change activity including mergers & acquisition, TUPE transfers and restructures.
Assist across the site with employer branding and charity activities through inclusion in the charity team.
Support the HRD/Head of HR with varied HR projects and activities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be looking for an opportunity to secure a stable position within a successful industry and business. You will enjoy working with a busy professional HR team, playing your part as a solid team player.
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a growing or fast paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience of managing sickness absence, performance management, disciple and grievance cases.
- Able to support investigations and produce accurate case documentation.
- Experience delivering training sessions and presentations in a clear and engaging manner.
- Able to work with a high level of discretion and professionalism. Suitable home working environment available.
- Organised and able to prioritise own workload.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Familiarity with HRIS Systems and data reporting.
- A desire to thrive in a role that requires a positive, proactive and flexible attitude towards change.
- Degree educated or equivalent HR experience; CIPD qualified preferred but not essential
