Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our cloud‑native applications and platform services.
You will be #LI-hybrid based in Hyderabad and reporting to Director Engineering.
As part of our engineering organization, you will contribute to building robust automation frameworks, enhancing our testing capabilities, and establishing a quality‑first culture across teams.
Our engineering ecosystem includes modern web applications, backend services, serverless components, and event‑driven architectures. We build using technologies such as TypeScript, Python, React, FastAPI, AWS Lambda, and ECS—supported by a strong CI/CD foundation. You will work with cutting‑edge tooling and cloud services while collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver consistently high‑quality experiences.
We maintain a deep focus on automation, observability, and engineering excellence. As a SDET, you will design and implement scalable automated testing solutions, improve test coverage, and strengthen product quality through continuous feedback and rigorous validation processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, backend, and distributed systems.
- Partner with software engineers early in the development lifecycle to ensure testability and adherence to quality engineering standards.
- Build and maintain end‑to‑end, integration, and unit test suites using modern testing tools and frameworks.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure high reliability, fast execution, and meaningful coverage.
- Implement API testing and contract validation using OpenAPI standards.
- Monitor, triage, and diagnose failures across test environments; drive root‑cause analysis and long‑term preventive solutions.
- Contribute to the definition of test strategy, quality standards, tooling upgrades, and best practices across teams.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience designing/maintaining & delivering production‑grade software system e2e automation test solution.
- Strong coding experience in TypeScript for UI and API test automation.
- Working knowledge of Python for backend testing and automation scripts.
- Experience with pytest for backend service validation.
- Experience with vitest for TypeScript unit testing.
- Proficiency in TestCafe for browser‑based end‑to‑end testing.
- Experience testing applications deployed on AWS Lambda, AWS ECS, and cloud‑native architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD infrastructure and testing integration patterns.
- Understanding of cloud services such as API Gateway, ALB, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
- Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions, Buildkite, and Dependabot workflows.
- Working knowledge of cloud observability tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and SecurityHub.
Useful & Desirable Skills
- Experience using OpenAPI for API contract validation and consumer testing.
- Knowledge of QuickSight or PowerBI for analyzing test data trends.
- Exposure to event‑driven and serverless architectures.
