We need an English-fluent Property Tax Specialist, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who’s constantly learning and improving their skills.
Are you the one we are looking for?
Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with state and local property tax laws and deadlines
- Review and respond to property tax assessments, notices, and appeals from state authorities
- Maintain a property tax calendar tracking filing deadlines and payment schedules by state
- Reconcile property tax accounts and coordinate with the internal accounting team
- Support property tax audits and liaise with state/local tax authorities as needed
- Identify opportunities to reduce property tax liability through exemptions or appeals
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience managing end-to-end US property tax filings across multiple states (West Coast + Southeast)
- Strong, proven knowledge of US property tax regulations
- Hands-on experience in filing and managing property taxes across different US states independently
- Familiarity with personal property tax (equipment, machinery)
- Experience working with US-based companies or US clients in a tax or accounting capacity
- Proficient in Excel; experience with tax or ERP software
It´s a Plus:
- Experience with NetSuite ERP
- Background in equipment rental, agricultural, or asset-heavy industries
- Knowledge of fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
- Familiarity with California, Arizona, North Carolina, and Florida property tax rules
Compensation:
- The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $1,800- $2,300 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
- This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
- The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
