About the role
Join our Product Evolution team - a multidisciplinary group of architects, engineers, and innovators - focused on developing next-generation prefabricated timber buildings for rapid, automated manufacturing and assembly. As an Expert MEP Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and integrating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into our modular building solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Assess and design MEP systems for timber-based residential and multi-use buildings, ensuring compliance with DACH region standards.
- Provide technical expertise in at least one MEP discipline and contribute to cross-disciplinary discussions.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product developers to integrate MEP solutions seamlessly into modular systems.
- Evaluate MEP components and systems for technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Build strong relationships with MEP component manufacturers to support product development.
About you
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing / Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- 7+ years of experience in MEP design for multi-story residential buildings.
- Strong knowledge of European/international building codes and standards (CEN, DIN, ÖNorm, SIA, CIBSE, ASHRAE).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Interest in timber construction and sustainable building design.
- Understanding of sustainable design principles and energy efficiency strategies.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- German language skills.
- Professional accreditation (e.g. CIBSE, ASHRAE).
- Experience with prefabricated building systems and product certification processes (ETA, UL, UKCA).
- Familiarity with BIM tools (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD) is beneficial but not mandatory, as we have dedicated specialists for this.

Austrian salary range, based on 14 months
€75.000—€100.000 EUR
