Heartbeat Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our virtual clinic Monday through Friday from 9:00-5:00 pm MST.
About the Role:
Patient care:
Receive Warm hand off of patients from internal and external call transfers
Verify contact info
Schedule first MD visit
Establish plan for vitals
Conduct initial KCCQ survey
Obtain baseline vitals if able - to include weight
Medication reconciliation
Verify Medical history/diagnostics
Arrange for lab draw
Arrange for Diagnostics
Prepare patients for physician visits.
Connect with patients, ensure video and audio work, add interpreters as needed.
Obtain signed consent.
Obtain photos of insurance cards
Clinical duties:
Utilize translator services to communicate with non-English speaking patients
Chart prep
Initiate visit
Document symptom’s
Record patient’s height, weight and vitals based on outside records or patient’s self reported information.
Identify and document the patient’s preferred pharmacy in their chart under Profile.
Maintain communication with provider, reporting information relevant to visit
Administrative tasks:
Schedule follow up appointments
Appt confirmation calls for next day
Chart checks
Chart Prep for visits for the next day
About You:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required
- 1-3 Years of experience as a Medical Assistant within Cardiology
- Exceptional people skills and a GREAT communicator
- Passion for delivering an outstanding patient experience
- Detail-oriented with a focus on processes
- Fast learner while being flexible and adaptable
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Self-driven and excited to support new technology
- Experience with providing virtual care to patients
