About HMT LLC
We founded HMT in 1978 to develop new technology for aboveground storage tanks. Our goal was to solve emissions and operational issues with existing floating roof and seal designs.
Our tank products include:

We also offer primary and secondary floating roof seals, lightning protection systems, roof drain and floating suction/skimmer systems, API separator covers, water and wastewater cover systems. Our product line includes aluminum dome roofs, pontoon floating roofs, full-contact floating roofs, and seamless composite roofs.
We design, construct, maintain, inspect, and repair aboveground storage tanks. Our global team helps clients reduce emissions, optimize tank capacity, reduce stranded inventory, engineer tank systems to exceed safety standards, and extend maintenance intervals.
In 2021, we acquired a global supplier of aluminum internal floating roofs. In 2023, we acquired Weld Spec Inspection Services, a provider of NDE and inspection services including third-party inspection, non-destructive testing, mechanical and metallurgical lab testing, rope services, and drone testing.
We operate in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, with clients in over 154 countries. We work with clients in oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, pipelines, refineries, marketing terminals, mining, water treatment, wastewater treatment, water storage, food processing, and renewables, including biofuels. We have been in business for 46 years and have over 1000 employees worldwide.
