Job Description
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join Ignitis team, where you’ll be responsible for environmental matters. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Ensuring Ignitisenvironmental compliance with EU, national, local laws, and internal standards across Baltics, Poland and Finland
- Implementing and maintaining environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001)
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating environmental risks across operations
- Providing guidance on environmental permits, regulations, and supporting operational and project teams
- Monitoring compliance in areas such as air, water, waste, hazardous materials, and pollution prevention
- Conducting environmental audits and oversee corrective and preventive actions
- Preparing environmental reports, managing environmental taxes, and monitoring key performance indicators
- Managing environmental incidents, coordinating contractors and service providers, and driving continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of environmental experience in industrial, energy, or similar sectors
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting, and compliance processes
- Experience with environmental audits, monitoring, reporting, and documentation
- Familiarity with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) preferred
- Strong communication skills in Lithuanian and English
- Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented with good digital literacy (MS Office/365)
- Valid driving licence (Category B)
