Job Description
We are looking for a colleague, who would join the Data Engineering Team and help us develop Data solutions in a cloud based Microsoft Fabric data platform. Advanced data analytics will be one of our key sources of global competitive advantages. Sales, financial, technical, people, smart metering and a lot more of Ignitis group energy data solutions. You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by:
- Building and operating reliable, scalable data pipelines using Python, Airflow and Microsoft Fabric
- Integrating data from 50+ sources (on-prem, cloud, APIs) into a unified data platform
- Designing and evolving lakehouse/warehouse patterns, data models, and transformation layers
- Owning data quality, observability, security, and compliance-by-design across pipelines and storage
- Leading technical solution design end-to-end — from requirements to production rollout
- Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Expertise with data modelling, ETL/ELT and warehouse/lakehouse concepts
- Expertise with building data pipelines using common orchestration tools such as Airflow
- Experience leading and implementing data governance frameworks and data cataloging tools
- Comfortable with mentoring and growing more junior team members
Would be an advantage:
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Microsoft Azure in general
- Experience with dbt
