What You’ll Do
The BD Operations Manager will serve as the operational backbone of the Business Development (BD) team. This role owns deal infrastructure, pipeline reporting for internal/BOD updates, pitch deck updates, supporting strategic analysis, and team operating cadence. While not external client-facing, this individual must deeply understand client context, payer-provider industry dynamics, and deal structure to develop compelling client-ready materials and accurate executive reporting.This is a high-impact role for a systems-oriented operator who thrives at the intersection of analytics, commercial strategy, and executive communication.
Own BD Deal Infrastructure & Reporting
- Own the BD accounts tracker, pipeline tracker, and opportunity map.
- Build and maintainaccurate pipeline dashboards and reporting.
- Standardize contract summaries and deal documentation frameworks.
- Partner with BD leadership and Finance to support pipeline forecasting inputs.
- Analyze pipeline performance trends (stage progression, conversion, velocity) and identify operational improvement opportunities.
Enable Executive & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Prepare polished, executive-ready materials for weekly updates and leadership reviews.
- Translate pipeline movement into clear insights and risks.
- Partner closely with Finance to align on forecast assumptions and deal timing.
- Partner with Legal to project manage legal documentation/market entry requirements for deals
- Support board-level growth reporting.
Enable Strategic Planning
- Support annual and quarterly growth planning through pipeline analysis and scenario modeling.
- Contribute data-driven insights to market prioritization and capacity planning discussions.
- Provide structured analysis to inform leadership decisions around growth strategy.
Drive Team Operating Rhythm
- Own agenda creation and coordination for weekly BD meetings, BD–Finance reviews, and Deal Desk reviews.
- Track action items, decisions, and accountability.
- Continually improve meeting effectiveness and team velocity.
Lead Pitch & Materials Governance
- Maintain and evolve the BD slide library and core pitch deck.
- Ensure version control, data accuracy, and messaging consistency.
- Support customization of materials for specific opportunities.
What You Bring & How You Qualify
First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve.
- 4-6+ years of experience in program management, business operations, BD operations, management consulting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience operating in support of Business Development or Sales teams.
- Strong analytical and dashboarding skills; comfort with Excel/Google Sheets, CRM tools, and pipeline reporting. Demonstrated expertise in utilizing AI tools to complete business processes (dashboards, market research, etc.)
- Advanced presentation skills with an ability to craft executive-level slides and narratives.
- Ability to understand commercial context, deal structure, and client requirements well enough to build compelling materials and accurate reporting.
- Excellent cross-functional communication with ability to interact effectively with leadership, Finance, and operational teams.
- Strong organizational rigor, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Structured thinker who values process, clarity, and repeatability.
- Self-starter capable of working autonomously while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience in healthcare, payer, provider, or value-based care environments preferred.
What We Offer (Benefits + Perks)
The target base salary for this position starts at $130,000 - $150,000 in addition to competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors including job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
