Construction Project Coordinator (Residential/Light Commercial) EST Hrs (Remote)

ISTA Personnel Solutions is partnering with a growing U.S.-based construction company to recruit a Construction Project Coordinator for residential renovation projects (including apartment complexes and multifamily properties) together with light commercial construction projects across the United States.

This is a fully remote role for a proactive, organised individual who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and keeping projects moving. You’ll be responsible for coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST ( 15:00 PM – 00:00 AM South African time – subject to change in accordance with daylight savings in the United States as well as the operational requirements of the Company).
  • You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays (compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA).
  • Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
  • Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
  • Work Environment: This is a fully remote working role.

Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Coordinate multiple multifamily renovation and light commercial construction projects from initiation through completion.

  • Drive project timelines, ensuring milestones and deliverables remain on track.

  • Coordinate daily with subcontractors, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure work progresses according to schedule.

  • Monitor project budgets, identify potential cost risks and escalate concerns where required.

  • Coordinate material procurement and track deliveries to minimise project delays.

  • Manage project schedules and proactively resolve issues that could impact deadlines.

  • Process and track change orders while ensuring project documentation remains accurate and up to date.

  • Maintain accurate records within the project management system.

  • Identify project risks early and work with the team to implement practical solutions.

  • Communicate professionally and confidently with U.S.-based clients, vendors and internal teams.

  • 2–3 years’ experience coordinating construction, renovation, light commercial construction or similar construction projects.

  • Experience working and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers or vendors within the construction industry.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable working with project management software (ClickUp experience is advantageous but not essential).

  • High attention to detail with the ability to follow through and close out tasks.

  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently in a fully remote environment.

  • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
