Our U.S.-based client, providing dental care services to nursing homes, is looking for a Customer Service (Billing Support) representative. This is a customer-facing service role focused on engaging with customers regarding billing-related queries, explaining account details, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Strong communication, customer service skills, and energy are essential - billing system knowledge can be trained.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (4:00 PM – 01:00 AM South African time, subject to U.S. daylight savings)
- Public Holidays: You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays (SA public holidays compensated in accordance with the BCEA).
- Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and wired Ethernet capability is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
- Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
- Work Environment: Fully remote.
Job Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails from customers regarding billing-related questions.
- Clearly explain account balances, charges, and billing processes in a friendly and professional manner.
- Identify and resolve billing-related issues by working with internal teams and systems.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and customer-focused communication style at all times.
- Accurately document customer interactions, updates, and resolutions in internal systems.
- Follow up on outstanding billing queries to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Build rapport with customers and provide a high-quality service experience.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proven experience in customer service, call centre support, patient support, or client-facing roles.
- High energy, confident phone presence, and the ability to engage with customers professionally and empathetically.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to explain information clearly and simply.
- Comfortable working with multiple systems and learning new tools (billing systems training will be provided).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) or Google Workspace tools.
- Ability to multitask, follow structured processes, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Experience in healthcare, dental, or billing environments is advantageous but not required.
