We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Assistant to support a U.S.-based ABA therapy company that is currently operating in two states and expanding.
This role will work closely with the Director of HR and will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR functions. The position is suited to someone who is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes are still being built.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Working Hours: Mon – Fri 09:00 am – 6:00 pm EST (15:00 pm - 00:00 am OR 16:00 pm - 01:00 am South African Time, depending on daylight savings in the USA)
- Public Holidays: You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays. Compensation for South African public holidays will be provided in accordance with the BCEA.
- Internet Requirements: Fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download), and support for a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Candidates without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
- Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding or outages. Candidates without backup cannot be considered.
- Work Environment: Fully remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to HR-related emails and employee queries.
- Assisting with employee contracts and documentation.
- Conducting research on U.S. labor laws as the company expands into new states.
- Supporting general HR operations and processes.
- Assisting with ad hoc HR tasks and operational requirements.
- Engaging in voice interactions with employees when required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in an HR, administrative, or recruitment support role.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Experience with U.S. HR processes or labor laws- Advantageous.
- Exposure to ABA or healthcare environments- Advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask.
- Proactive and able to think independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to take initiative and work “outside the box”.
