Outreach Specialist (US Healthcare) - Remote | EST Hours

We focus on long-term placements where you contribute directly to the client’s success.

Our client is looking for a driven, resilient Outreach Specialist to build out their outbound outreach function from scratch. This is a high-volume outreach role focused on engaging social workers and discharge coordinators at nursing facilities across the US and helping drive adoption of a software platform. The platform is provided free of charge to nursing facilities.

This is not a traditional sales role - there is no contract to sign and nothing to pay. The role is about making contact with the right people, quickly communicating the value of a free and intuitive tool, and converting interest into active platform users. The biggest challenge is not convincing people; it is getting through to them.

Our client is building this outbound function from the ground up. The person who thrives in this role will be someone who takes ownership of it, brings discipline and creativity to the prospecting process, and finds genuine satisfaction in getting through to hard-to-reach people with a product that actually helps them. Conversion is important, but the foundation is volume, persistence, and quality of contact.

Important: This is not a commission-paying role.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 am – 6:00 pm EST (15:00 pm – 00:00 am OR 16:00 pm – 01:00 am South African Time, depending on U.S. daylight savings).
  • Public Holidays: You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays. Compensation for South African public holidays will be provided in accordance with the BCEA.
  • Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) is mandatory.

A wired Ethernet connection is required. Candidates without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.

  • Power Backup:  A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding or outages. Candidates without backup power cannot be considered.
  • Work Environment: Fully remote.

What the Role involves:

  • Making high-volume outbound calls to nursing facilities across the US, reaching through to social workers and discharge coordinators.
  • Independently researching and sourcing direct contact details using tools such as Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and similar platforms - getting past main lines and gatekeepers to reach the right person directly.
  • Delivering a clear, concise, and personalised pitch - explaining the platform’s value quickly to busy professionals who have little time to spare.
  • Qualifying interest and coordinating next steps - where a social worker is interested, facilitating their onboarding onto the platform.
  • Following up persistently and systematically with contacts who have not yet converted, maintaining an organised call-back schedule.
  • Logging all activity accurately in the CRM to track progress and ensure no facility is contacted by more than one team member simultaneously.
  • Supporting platform adoption post sign-up - ensuring facilities that have agreed to use the system actually get active on it.
  • Outreaching via email and LinkedIn to complement the calling effort.

Essential:

  • Proven cold calling experience - comfortable making 80 - 100 outbound calls per day and sustaining energy and quality throughout.
  • A self-starter who can prospect independently, source their own leads, and think on their feet when a script won’t cut it.
  • Resilience and persistence - the ability to handle rejection, work around gatekeepers, and keep going.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English - clear, warm, and adaptive to the person on the other end of the line.
  • Organisational discipline - reliable CRM hygiene, accurate notetaking, and a well-managed follow-up pipeline.

Advantageous:

  • Experience in outbound outreach, B2B prospecting, lead generation, business development, or appointment setting.
  • Familiarity with lead prospecting tools such as Apollo or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Prior use of CRM platforms such as Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
  • Any exposure to healthcare, aged care, or medical services - an understanding of how nursing facilities operate is a genuine advantage.
