Our client, Anthropic, is committed to developing AI systems that are safe, responsible, and beneficial to humanity. Our Safeguards team plays a critical role in ensuring our AI technologies are deployed ethically and in alignment with our core values.
As a Safeguards Enforcement Operations Specialist, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the integrity of our AI systems by reviewing user interactions, enforcing policy guidelines, and collaborating across teams to continuously improve our safety mechanisms focused on radiological and nuclear threat identification.
Important context: this position may involve exposure to explicit content spanning sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing topics.
Responsibilities:
- Review customer signals, user exchanges, and code to identify potential policy violations related to radiological and nuclear materials, weapons, and technical uplift risks.
- Enforce established CBRNE workflows and policy guidelines with precision and care.
- Collaborate with Strategy Analysts, Policy Managers, and Threat Intelligence Investigators to identify emerging trends, highlight policy gaps, and flag content for classifier refinement.
- Produce weekly reports on operational workflows.
- Handle customer communications and appeals.
- Provide surge review support and content labeling as needed. Triage cross-functional requests.
Qualifications
- Have experience with radiological, nuclear, or CBRNE-related policy content
- are a quick learner, proactive, detail-oriented, and have strong communication skills.
- Bonus: background in nuclear nonproliferation, radiological emergency response, or CBRNE defense (military or federal); content moderation/Trust & Safety experience; understanding of AI ethics.
